Room 2 - Building on the Early Years
In Room 2, we build on the strong literacy and numeracy foundation skills developed in Room 3. With a continued emphasis on literacy and numeracy, the children are gradually encouraged to set more of their own learning goals and become independent readers and writers. We follow an Inquiry based learning model to explore other curriculum areas and the children enjoy asking questions, planning and conducting their own research. Children in Room 2 are also given some opportunities to develop early
leadership skills eg. through buddy reading activities.
