Bus Service

The Mararoa School Board of Trustees is pleased to announce a new transport initiative aimed at providing an option for families in the wider Te Anau Basin area. From the start of the 2026 school year, the Board will operate a dedicated school van service travelling between Te Anau and Mararoa School. This service is specifically for families residing outside the Ministry of Education's Mararoa School designated bus zones. This allows for more families and their tamariki to experience the unique benefits of Mararoa School—our small class sizes, strong community spirit, and rural learning environment. If you live in the Te Anau area and are considering Mararoa School for your child in 2026, please contact the School Office promptly to register your interest and discuss enrolment options. To adhere to our commitment of maintaining small class sizes and ensuring personalised attention for every student, the Board will initially offer a limited number of spaces via this new transport service.
