Kids Restore the Kepler

March 01, 2019 -

Today we went on our Annual Kids Restore the Kepler Trip. This year we got to explore Jack Beer’s Camp. Jack was a pioneer who farmed at the start of the Kepler Track, before it was a National Park.
KRTK Education Co-ordinator Alessandra planned a great day for us, that allowed us to learn about Jack Beer, his life and explore the artefacts that were left behind. This was a great start to our Kiwiana Inquiry this year by learning about our local history.
Thank you to the parent help that joined us and a big thank you to Alessandra for sharing her knowledge and setting up the treasure hunt.
